Cryotherapy Service

Cryotherapy uses a controlled application of extreme cold (typically liquid nitrogen) to freeze and destroy unwanted skin lesions. The treated area will naturally fall away over time, allowing healthy skin to replace it.

What can be treated?

Our cryotherapy service can be used to treat a range of common, benign skin conditions, including:

• Warts and verrucas

• Skin tags

• Age spots (solar lentigines)

• Cherry angiomas

• Seborrhoeic keratoses

If you’re unsure whether your lesion is suitable, our trained team will assess it before treatment.

What to expect

• A consultation to assess suitability and explain the procedure

• The treatment itself usually takes just a few minutes

• You may feel a brief stinging or burning sensation during application

• The area may blister or scab before healing over 1–3 weeks

Some lesions may require more than one session for complete removal.
